- Yes, animals have emotions just like people do. Hyenas and
kookaburras laugh. Dogs certainly smile. My dog smiles when I get out his food or take him for a walk. He smiles when we come home or even pet him. They sense what we are feeling.
A friend of my late aunt took her husband to the hospital,later that night her husband died at the hospital. The dog, who was left at home started to howl. I don't know how he knew. He was miserable for days afterwards at the loss of his master. - Look these photoes!
